Michigan / Tanner appliance

Michigan and Tanner splints are used in the treatment of the TMJ and to control bruxism. These full coverage splints are constructed in a 4mm invested clear acrylic material. Occlusal contacts are achieved between the working cusps of all the teeth with canine and protrusive guidance.

The Michigan splint is constructed on the UPPER arch whilst the Tanner splint is constructed on the LOWER.
